TODAY
The Trumpet Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY
The 2012 film "In the Fog" will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater of Hanna Hall
as part of the International Film Fest. The drama, directed by Sergei Loznitsa, takes place in 1942 in
German-occupied Belarus.
Creative Writing faculty member Abigail Cloud will read from her work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel. Cloud
is a poet with works published in literary journals such as the Gettysburg Journal and Copper Nickel.
She is also the editor-in-chief of the Mid-American Review.
THURSDAY-SATURDAY
The Department of Theatre and Film presents a puppetry version of "Frankenstein" Thursday,
Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday. Directed by Bradford Clark, the timeless
story of Victor Frankenstein and the creature he creates and then rejects is not appropriate for
children due to its violent subject matter. The performance starts at 8 p.m. in Eva Marie Saint Theatre
of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. Tickets ordered online at www.bgsu.edu/arts are $10 for adults, $7 for
seniors and non-BGSU students and $1.75 for BGSU students. Tickets purchased by calling 419-372-8171 or
at the BGSU Arts Box Office are $12 for adults and $7 for everyone else.
FRIDAY
BGSU professor of photography Louis Krueger talks about his recent work starting at 6 p.m. in 204 Fine
Arts Center. Krueger tells stories through his photographs, making fantasies seem like reality.
SATURDAY
The Improvised Shakespeare Company comes to BGSU as part of the College of Musical Arts’ Festival Series.
An audience member makes a suggestion and the actors improvise an entire play in Elizabethan style. It
could be a tragedy or historical or even a comedy. The performance starts at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of
the Moore Musical Arts Center. Tickets are $25-$39. Order tickets online at www.bgsu.edu/arts or call

SUNDAY
The silent films "Gretchen the Greenhorn" and "Roaring Rails," both featuring Dorothy
Gish in uncharacteristically serious roles, will be shown at 3 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater.
APRIL 7
BGSU’s Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.

APRIL 8
Nermis Mieses’ oboe students and Susan Nelson’s bassoon students will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Manor
House in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo.
The Student Composers Forum will be presented at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
APRIL 9
The Early Music Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall. The ensemble plays music from the
Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque periods.
APRIL 10
Guillermo del Toro’s "Pan’s Labyrinth." will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater.
This dark fantasy film is set five years after the Spanish Civil War and centers on an overgrown
labyrinth and faun creature.
BGSU alumna Tessa Mellas returns to campus to talk about the craft of writing at 7:30 p.m. in Prout
Chapel. Mellas’ first story collection, "Lungs Full of Noise," debuted in October 2013.
The Jazz Guitar ensembles present a concert at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall. Under the direction of Chris
Buzzelli, the group plays pieces ranging from standard and modern jazz to original music.
IN THE GALLERIES
The Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition runs through April 6 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and
Willard Wankelman galleries. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
The Master of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition opens with a 7-9 p.m. reception in the Dorothy Uber
Bryan and Willard Wankelman galleries at the Fine Arts Center. The artwork will be on display through
April 19.
