TODAY
Jazz Week continues with a performance by vibraphonist Dave Samuels, playing with BGSU’s Jazz Lab Band I,
at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY
The International Film Fest presents "Monsieur Lazhar," a Canadian French-language drama
directed by Philippe Falardeau, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater of Hanna Hall.
Visiting writer Stuart Kestenbaum will read from his poetry at 7:30 p.m. at the Prout Chapel. He is the
author of works of "Prayers & Run-on Sentences" and "House of Thanksgiving."

The jazz faculty will perform with guest artist by vibraphonist Dave Samuels at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital
Hall of Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY-SUNDAY
A puppetry version of "Frankenstein" will be staged in Eva Marie Saint Theatre of the Wolfe
Center for the Arts with performances 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday. Directed by Bradford Clark, the timeless story of Victor Frankenstein and the creature he
creates and then rejects is not appropriate for children due to its violent subject matter. Tickets
ordered online at www.bgsu.edu/arts are $10, $7 for seniors and non-BGSU students and $1.75 for BGSU
students. Tickets purchased by calling 419-372-8171 or at the box office are $12 and $7 for seniors and
students.
Thomas Muir, Distinguished Artist Professor and head of the Jewelry-Metals area, will discuss his recent
work and creative life as part of the Legends speaker series at 7 p.m. in 204 Fine Arts Center.
FRIDAY
Film faculty will showcase their work at 7 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater of Hanna Hall. They will present
documentaries, experimental and narrative films and videos.
The Vocal Jazz Ensembles with special guest artist vibraphonist Dave Samuels conclude Jazz Week with a
concert at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall.
SATURDAY
Horn professor Andrew Pelletier performs at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 126 S. Church
St. in Bowling Green, as part of Saturdays at the Church on Church Street .
The Conrad Art Song Competition will continue with the semi-final round at noon in the Donnell Theatre of
the Wolfe Center for the Arts with the final round begins at 8 p.m.
SUNDAY
The BGSU Chamber Orchestra performs in the Great Gallery of the Toledo Museum of Art at 3 p.m.
Operatic baritone Dean Southern presents a lecture on and a recital of the work of Austrian composer Hugo
Wolfe at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
MARCH 31
Guest pianist Joachim Reinhuber will perform at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts
Center.
APRIL 1
Conrad Art Song Competition winners will perform at the Manor House in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo at
7:30 p.m.
Lewis Teagues’s 1979 film "The Lady in Red" will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film
Theater.
German violinist Christoph Schickedanz and Japanese pianist Chiharu Iinuma will play three sonatas by
Johannes Brahms at 8 p.m. in the Conrad Choral Room of the Wolfe Center.
APRIL 2
The Trumpet Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
APRIL 3
The 2012 film "In the Fog" will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater of Hanna
Hall.
Creative Writing faculty member Abigail Cloud will read from her work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel. Cloud
is a poet with works published in literary journals such as the Gettysburg Journal and Copper Nickel.
She is also the editor-in-chief of the Mid-American Review.
IN THE GALLERIES
The Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition runs through April 6 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and
Willard Wankelman galleries. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
