TODAY
A seven-piece ensemble of music faculty and graduate students along with actors and dancers will perform
Stravinsky’s "L’histoire du soldat (The Soldier’s Tale)" at 8 p.m. in the Donnell Theatre at
the Wolfe Center for the Arts.
THURSDAY
Master of Fine Arts students in creative writing Yosef Rosen and Laura Walter read from their work at
7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel.
"L’histoire du soldat (The Soldier’s Tale)" will be presented at 7 p.m. in the McBride
Auditorium on the BGSU Firelands campus. Free, but call 419-372-0617 to reserve a seat.
Ye Lou’s 2000 film "Suzhou River" will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater of
Hanna Hall. Set in Shanghai, this tragic love story focuses on obsession and hidden identity.
FRIDAY
Roberta Lapucci, expert art conservator of Caravaggio, will discuss at the Baroque master painter’s
"photographic" techniques at 12:30 p.m. in 204 Fine Arts Center.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY
The University Choral Society joins the Toledo Symphony Orchestra to perform Verdi’s Requiem at 8 p.m. in
the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle. Tickets $27 to $52. Call 419-246-8000.
SATURDAY
The BG Philharmonia’s Funharmonia performs a concert for young people at 11 a.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of
the Moore Musical Arts Center. Tickets are $4 and $2 for children and students. Visit bgsu.edu/arts or

Leading art professors and professionals will present an ARTalk "Where Next?: The Future of Art
(School/Work/World)." from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in 204 Fine Arts Center.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition opens with a reception at 6:30 p.m. in the Dorothy
Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman galleries. The exhibit displays soon-to-be graduates’ artwork and will
continue through April 6. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
SUNDAY
The winning ensembles from the Douglas Wayland Chamber Music Competition perform in the Great Gallery of
the Toledo Museum of Art at 3 p.m.
MARCH 24
Yarn/Wire performs as part of the Music at the Forefront Series hosted by the MidAmerican Center for
Contemporary Music at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.. The quartet,
consisting of two percussionists and two pianists, will perform new works by Luciano Berio, Aaron
Helgeson, Alex Mincek, Eric Wubbels and Phillip Scheussler.
MARCH 25
Professor Myra Merritt’s vocal students perform at the Manor House in Wildwood Metropark of Toledo at
7:30 p.m.
The 1978 horror movie "Piranha," a parody of Jaws," will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the
Gish Film Theater. MARCH 2"Jaws" and is about a school of killer piranhas.
Jazz Week kicks off with performances from the Chamber Jazz Ensembles at 8 p.m. in the Bryan Recital
Hall.
MARCH 26
Jazz Week continues with a performance by vibraphonist Dave Samuels, playing with the Jazz Lab Band I, at
8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. The versatile musician will perform and teach
during his weeklong residency on campus.
