TODAY
The winners of the Chamber Music Competition will perform at the Manor House of Wildwood Metropark in Toledo at 7:30 p.m.
The 1990 film "Paris Is Burning." Swill be shown at 7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall..  Shot in the 1980s, the documentary goes behind the scenes at underground drag balls in New York City highlighting a culture and the intersections between sexuality, gender, race and class.

WEDNESDAY
Pianist Thomas Rosenkranz will present a faculty artist recital at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center

THURSDAY
Distinguished Visiting Writer Eugene Gloria, author of three books of poems will discuss the craft of writing at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel.

"Da hong deng long gao gao gua" ("Raise the Red Lantern"), a 1991 film by Chinese director Zhang Yimou, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in  Gish Theater . When her father dies, a young woman must give up her bright future to become the fourth wife of a wealthy landowner. The powerful lord shines a red lantern in front of the house of the wife he chooses to sleep with that night, and the women compete with one another to get that light outside their home.

Guest Artist ADJ-ective New Music will perform at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall. The group, composed of seven bassoonists, introduces contemporary music to new audiences through private instruction or event presentations.

FRIDAY & SUNDAY
BGSU's Opera Theater presents "The Merry Widow" by Franz Lehar Friday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Donnell Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. A free Director's Forum will be held an hour before curtain time each day.in the Eva Marie Saint Theatre. Visit http://www.bgsu.edu/arts or call (419) 372-8171 for ticket information.

SATURDAY
BGSU students from the horn studio will perform for children during the Young People's Concert: Horns-a-Plenty at 11 a.m. in Bryan Recital Hall. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children. Purchase them at the door or at http://www.bgsu.edu/arts or call (419) 372-8171 for more information.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition's opening reception is from 7-9:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman galleries of the Fine Arts Center. The exhibit will officially open Sunday and will continue through April 10. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.

MARCH 25
Guest Artist Annette-Barbara Vogel will perform on violin at 8 p.m. in the Donnell Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. Free
MARCH 26
Voice students of Sean Cooper will present Music at the Manor House at 7:30 p.m. in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo.

The 2007 film "Smiley Face" by director Gregg Araki will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in  Gish Theater. Stars Anna Farris with John Krasinski, Adam Brody, Jayma Mays and Jane Lynch.

Trombone and French horn students perform in the Donnell Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts starting at 8 p.m.
