Brass and percussion sextet Meridian Arts Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall in the Moore Musical Arts Center as part of the Music at the Forefront series.

"Made for Each Other," a 1939 John Cromwell film featuring Carole Lombard and Jimmy Stewart, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater.

Cello students of Alan Smith will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Manor House in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo.

Alan Smith on cello and Thomas Rosenkranz on piano will present the world premier of "The Highwayman" by Wallace DePue, Sr., professor emeritus at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall as well as "Suite in Old Style" by Alfred Schnittke.  

The International Film Series presents a screening of the 2003 Italian film "La Finestra di Fronte" ("Facing Windows") at 7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall. The film explores a marriage on the rocks. When the husband takes in a confused old man,  the couple begins to piece together a mystery.

Master of Fine Arts students Elizabeth Mitchell and Suzanne Hodsden will read from their work at 7:30 p.m. at Prout Chapel.

The New Music Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.

The Department of Theatre and Film presents "Abundance" by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Beth Henley. The play tells the story of two women who  travel to the unknown Wyoming Territory in the 1860s as mail-order brides. Performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday are at 8 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinees Saturday and Sunday in the Eva Maria Saint Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. FEB. 19
Tuesdays at the Gish screens "The Outlaw" at 7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater. Director Howard Hughes's 1943 romp pits cowboys versus cowboys versus Indians. Starring Jack Buetel,  Walter Huston and Jane Russell.

Violin students of Penny Thompson Kruse perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Manor House in Toledo's Wildwood Metropark.

Student Chamber Jazz Ensembles will perform at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.

FEB. 20
The Faculty Artist Series features pianist Laura Melton at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of Moore Musical Arts Center. She will perform Robert Schumann's "Davidsbundlertanze," Sebastian Currier's "Scarlatti Cadences" and "Brainstorm," and Claude Debussy's  Twelve Etudes.

The annual Undergraduate Art and Design Exhibition continues through Feb. 24 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman galleries of the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
