PERRYSBURG - Author Bill Steigerwald will be discussing  his book "Dogging Steinbeck."    June 26 at 7  p.m. the Way Public Library.
In his 2012 book, Steigerwald retraced John Steinbeck's  1960 cross-country trip documented in "Travels with Charlie, In Search of America" which appeared in 1962..  During his research he found some discrepancies between where Steinbeck went and what he experienced and what ultimately appeared in "Travels with Charley."  Although 'Charley' was sold as nonfiction, Steigerwald, from Pittsburgh, discovered that it contained a good deal of fiction.
Steigerwald also reveals details of Steinbeck's route through Wood County, including driving Perrysburg on Oct. 3, 1960.
