New York Voices present jazz workshop at BGSU
Registration for the BGSU New York Voices Vocal Jazz Camp is now under way.
The camp, Aug. 2 through 8 offers singers a chance to learn from and sing with members of the multiple-Grammy winning vocal ensemble.
Lauren Kinhan, Darmon Meader, Peter Eldridge and Kim Nazarian will work with singers and ensembles from high school through professional in clinics, ensemble classes, individual coaching sessions and talks pertaining to the art and performance of vocal jazz.
Graduate credit is available.
Tuition is $589. The cost to audit the camp is $379. Room and board for a single with full meal plan is $350 with lower cost options available.

Bluegrass band plays benefit
TOLEDO - The Funhouse Writer's Group of Toledo will host a benefit buffet dinner and concert featuring the Cottonwood Jam String Band for the American Red Cross Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m. at The Ground Level Coffee House, 2636 W. Central Ave.
Tickets are $10, with all of the band's proceeds going to the Red Cross National Disaster Relief.
The Cottonwood Jam Band plays traditional Americana string band music and features Wood County residents Spencer Cunningham, banjo, guitar and vocals, Marti Clayton, guitar and vocals, and Cole Christensen, mandolin, banjo and vocals, and Toledo residents Renata Burgett, fiddle, and Tahree Lane, bass and vocals.
Ex-Leno writer at BG club
Chili, a former head writer for "The Tonight Show Starring Jay Leno" and contributor to the comic strip "Mother Goose and Grimm," will be the headliner at Comedy Night Tuesday at 9 p.m. at Grumpy Dave's, 104 S. Main St., Bowling Green.
Feature act will be Owen Thomas.
Tickets are $5 and $3 for students.
Watercolor society show opens Sunday at Arrowhead
MAUMEE - The Northwestern Ohio Watercolor Society's spring exhibition opens Sunday with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at Heidelberg College at Arrowhead Park, 1757 Indian Wood Circle.
The show continues through June 26.
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
