Zin strings at St. Tim’sPERRYSBURG – The Zin Quartet joined by guest violist Timothy Zeithamel
will perform a St. Tim’s Discovers concert Sunday at 2 p.m., at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 871 E.
Boundary.Members of the Zin Quartet are violinists Merwin Siu and Cheryl Trace, violist Jennifer Burns, and
cellist Renee Goubeaux. All four are members of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra as is Zeithamel.The free
45-minute program will feature performances of the tring Quintet in E-flat Major by W.A. Mozart and the
String Quintet in G Major, by Johannes Brahms.Bittersweet Farms crafts at Indie saleWHITEHOUSE – Bittersweet
Creative Arts will be participating in Make-it Indie Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1717 Adams St. in
Toledo.Bittersweet artists will sell handmade ceramic, glass, woven and mixed media items. Make-it Indie is
a one-day alternative craft fair that features all Midwest handmade goods and is part of the Holiday Loop
sponsored by The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo.Food, drinks, music, and dancing will be featured.
Admission is $1, children under 12 are free.Prizm booth at Holiday LoopTOLEDO – Prizm Creative Community
will feature some of its best creative artists in a Holiday Boutique Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the
downtown gallery area at 25 South St. Claire St. .The work will be featured at the open office space of Seed
Coworking. The portable boutique will be a featured stop on the Holiday Loop sponsored by The Arts
Commission of Greater Toledo.Piano pair to play ‘Rite’TOLEDO – "Folksongs, Rituals and Rites of
Passage," a concert featuring the two-piano work of Teresa McCollough and Dr. Michael Boyd, will be
presented Sunday at 3 p.m. in the University of Toledo’s Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall.The program
will feature the two-piano arrangement of Igor Stravinsky’s "Rite of Spring" in honor of the
ballet’s 100th anniversary.Also on the program guest artist McCollough and Boyd, of the UT faculty will be:
Frederic Rzewski’s "Winnsboro Cotton Mill Blues" (arranged for two pianos) and "Down by the
Riverside," both from North American Ballades and Tobias Picker’s "Old and Lost
Rivers."McCollough will also present a master class on Saturday at 11 a.m.
