Romantic sounds at St. Tim’s
PERRYSBURG – A program of Romantic duos and trios will be presented Sunday at 5 p.m. at St. Timothy’s
Episcopal Church a part of the church’s St. Tim’s Discovers series.
The concert will feature area musicians clarinetist Georg Klaas, violist Florin Simioanca and pianist
Pamela Ashmore performing Concert Piece for Viola and Piano by George Enecsu, Sonata for Clarinet and
Piano by Camille Saint-Saƫns and Eight Pieces for Clarinet, Viola and Piano by Max Bruch. Soprano Cheryl
Babb will be guest soloist for Franz Schubert’s "Shepherd on the Rock."
A free will offering taken to defray expenses.
Tickets for cabaret concert by community band on sale
Tickets are now on sale for Celluloid Sensations the Bowling Green Area Community Band’s Spring Cabaret
Pops Concert May 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lenhart Ballroom of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union at Bowling
Green State University.
The bands will present a variety of selections associated with television or movies.
Seating is at round tables, "cabaret-style," similar in format to a Boston Pops concert, with
light refreshments included in the admission.
Tickets will be required and are available for purchase at Grounds for Thought, 174 S. Main St., Bowling
Green. Tickets are $10.
Sketchbook Project at Grounds
The Sketchbox Toledo project works are still on display at Grounds for Thought, 174 S. Main St., Bowling
Green.
The project includes sketchboxes with a sketchbook and colored pencils for people to draw in. There’s
also instructions to reach and comment on the project’s Facebook page.
The project, coordinated by UT art professor Barbara Miner of Bowling Green, has been underway since
March. Sketchboxes will be collected soon.
