Perrysburg Chorale marks 20th anniversary with concerts (Corrected)
PERRYSBURG —The Perrysburg Symphony Chorale will celebrate its 20th anniversary with two concerts this
weekend.
On Saturday at 2 p.m. the chorale will present a free concert at Way Public Library.
On Sunday at 2 p.m. the Chorale will perform at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 871 E. Boundary St. A
free will offering will be accepted.
The chorale will sing selections by Mozart, Brahms, Eric Whitacre, and others.
Solo vocalists and instrumentalists from the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts will
also perform.
Perrysburg Musical Theatre casting ‘The Music Man’
PERRYSBURG – Perrysburg Musical Theatre will hold auditions for its summer production of "The Music
Man" later this month.
Audition packets with specific details about auditions, preparation, and the rehearsal details will be
released on www.perrysburgmusicaltheatre.org. Those auditioning must download and complete the packet
and bring it to the audition.
The classic American musical abut a con man who falls in love with the town librarian features a cast of
more than 90 adults and children. It will be staged July 31 through Aug. 3 at Perrysburg High School
with full orchestra.
Audition schedule is:
• General auditions for those age 13 and up, April 21 and 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Commodore Building
in Perrysburg.
• Children, ages 7 through 9, April 26, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Church in Perrysburg.
• Children, ages 10 through 12, April 26, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Church.
• Invited call backs, April 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Commodore Building.
The musical will be directed by Clark Ausloos with musical direction by Pam Williams-Rumer.
BGSU Women’s Center hosting poetry reading
The Women’s Center at Bowling Green State University will present The World Split Open, a poetry reading
and open mic, at Grounds for Thought, 174 S. Main St., Bowling Green, April 9 at 7 p.m.
The reading will feature Jean Geist, Stephanie Longmire and the Uppity Women’s Poetry Workshop.
Jazz legend Hendricks to perform special show
TOLEDO – Legendary jazz vocalist Jon Hendricks will premier his new recording "Monk" a special
Jazz on the Maumee concert Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Grand Plaza Hotel,
444 N Summit St.
Hendricks will be backed by Crosscurrents, the University of Toledo faculty jazz ensemble.

Art Walk volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed to help stage the 22nd Annual Art Walk April 26 in downtown Bowling Green.
Volunteer opportunities include picking up and setting up flowers and event signs, photographing the
event, setting up and tearing down the After Party at Grounds for Thought, and more.
Shifts are in two-hour increments.
Those who want to volunteer should contact the Downtown Bowling Green office at [email protected]
