BG Presbyterian Church organ recital has Lenten focus
Dr. Ed Duling will be present an organ recital, "Past Pleasant Pastorales," Saturday at 10:30
a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green as part of the Saturdays at the Church on Church
Street series.
Duling will perform pieces reflecting the Lenten season. He has served for more than 45 years as an
organist or choir director in mainline Protestant churches in Ohio.
He retired three years ago as a music education professor but continues to teach part-time for Kent State
University in its master’s program.
BGSU chorus performs Verdi’s Requiem with Toledo orchestra
TOLEDO – The Toledo Symphony Orchestra with the University Choral Society will perform Guiseppi Verdi’s
Requiem Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle.
The performance will be conducted by Giordano Bellincampi with soloist Stacey Rishol, Vale Rideout and
Stephen West.

Registrations for NY Voices jazz vocal camp being taken
Registration is underway for the New York Voices vocal jazz camp scheduled for Aug. 4-10, on the Bowling
Green State University campus.
This camp is open to high school and college students, professional musicians, choral directors and
anyone interested in improving and developing their knowledge of the vocal jazz genre.
The New York Voices – Lauren Kinhan, Darmon Meader, Peter Eldridge and Kim Nazarian – will work with
singers and ensembles in clinics, ensemble classes, lessons and special interest sessions pertaining to
the art and performance of vocal jazz. Pre-established groups are also welcome.
In addition to New York Voices, the camp faculty includes long-time friends and colleagues, Greg Jasperse
and Rosana Eckert.

Scholls sing for lunch show
Singers Chris and Ellen Scholl, of the Bowling Green State University faculty, will perform a Brown Bag
Music Series concert Friday from 11:45 to 1 p.m. at the Simpson Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave.
Attendees are invited to bring lunch and enjoy the show. Drinks and dessert will be available for
purchase.
The series is presented by City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with
the BGSU College of Musical Arts.
