Welders return to Howard’s
A Bowling Green spring break tradition continues Saturday when the Welders perform from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
at Howard’s Club H, 210 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
The once-a-year aggregation of veteran musicians has been assembling on the Howard’s stage since 1978.

Voice of Harmony Chorus presents spring concert
Voices of Harmony Chorus will present An Evening of A Capella March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Alliance
Church, 1161 Napoleon Road, Bowling Green.
The free show will feature the chorus as well as awarding winning quartet Eclipse from Columbus, and the
Sing-a-ma-jigs, a Sweet Adelines ensemble from Northwest Ohio.

Barbershop quartets at church
Barbershop quartets from the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts will perform Saturday
at 10:30 a.m. as part of the First Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green’s Saturdays at the Church on
Church series.
Programs last 45 minutes with light coffee and refreshments provided afterward.
Guest clarinetist at BGSU
Distinguished clarinet player Richard Hawkins will conduct a Master Class starting at 6:30 p.m. in Bryan
Recital Hall of the Bowling Green State University Moore Musical Arts Center.
Hawkins teaches at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and has developed his own line of clarinet mouthpieces.
He made his solo debut at the Kennedy Center with Mstislav Rostropovich conducting the National Symphony
Orchestra in 1992.
WGTE hosts ‘Selfridge’ event
TOLEDO – WGTE Public Media will hold a reception March 20 from to 7 to 9 p.m. to mark the beginning of
the second season of "Mr. Selfridge" on "Masterpiece Classic."
The program will be presented at the WGTE offices at 1270 South Detroit Ave.
The program will include: Exclusive behind-the-scenes footage; a preview of the first hour of season two;
giveaways; and a question and answer and program discussion.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Reservations must be made by March 19 at 4 p.m. by calling 419-380-4600.
Season two of "Mr. Selfridge" debuts March 30 at 9 p.m. on WGTE TV.
Electronic acts at Robinwood
TOLEDO – The Robinwood Concert House, 2564 Robinwood, will host a double bill of Midwest performers
Monday at 9 p.m. featuring Coppice and Damon Sturdivant.
The Chicago-based duo Noe Cuellar and Joseph Kramer performs original compositions that are
"blurring sounds and centuries" on custom instruments, prepared pump organ and electronics.
Coppice has recorded on several labels and performed throughout Europe and the United States.
Sturdivant returns for a solo show. Well steeped in all things psychedelic, new age, drone and freak out,
Sturdivant focuses on classic synthesizers and effects, creating dark, highly maneuverable sequences
driven by landslide-like drones.
