BGSU piano students of Robert Satterlee will perform at the Manor House in Wildwood Metropark of Toledo at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Gish continues this week with a screening of "Five Minutes to Live" (1961), directed by Bill Karn. Johnny Cash plays a psychotic kidnapper who holds a woman hostage while negotiating with her husband, a bank vice president. The film begins at 7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall.
Bassoonist Susan Nelson on bassoon, assisted by pianist Solunnga Fang-Tzu- Liu and oboist Lynne Marie Mangan will present a faculty recital at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. The program will feature the world premiere of "En Los Bosques" by Kyle Hovatter for bassoon and recorded tracks. The program will also include: "Le Grand Tango" by Astor Piazzolla; "Portuguesa" by Paul-Henri B√ºsser'Trio #2 for Oboe, Bassoon and Piano by Bill Douglas; "Dual Identity" by Gernot Wolfgang; and "Sonatine-Tango" by Pierre Max Dubois.
Master of Fine Arts in Writing students Casey Nichols and Gabrielle Hovendon will read from their work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel.
The North American Saxophone Alliance Regional Conference hosted by John Sampen and the Bowling Green State University Saxophone Studio will begin with registration at 5 p.m. and continue with a concert at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. The concert features Donald Sinta Quartet, the BGSU Saxophone Ensemble, University of Illinois Saxophone Ensemble and Central Michigan University Saxophone Ensemble. North American Saxophone Alliance Regional Conference continues with activities beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Moore Musical Arts Center.
