hosts experimental music showTOLEDO – A concert of experimental music featuring Ben
Bennett and Joel Roberts will be presented March 1 at 9 p.m. the Roinwood Concerthouse,
2564 Robinwod Ave., in the city’s histori West End.Ben Bennett plays an evolving pile
of often home-made instruments, which includes tuned drum heads, frame-drums, rubber
stretched across a hoop, rubber by itself, sheet metal, and wind instruments with reeds
made from drum heads. Joel Roberts, who performs as goLab, uses analog synthesizers,
drum machines, theremin and GameBoy to create somewhat unconventional synth-pop.
