WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts prosecutors say Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger has been arrested on domestic violence-related charges.

A spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney's office says Sullinger is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Waltham.

Police say officers were called to Sullinger's residence on Saturday evening for a domestic assault call. Police described the alleged victim as his girlfriend.

Sullinger was not at the home by the time they arrived and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He turned himself in at about 6 a.m. Tuesday and was booked on charges of assault and battery, malicious destruction of property and witness intimidation.

It was not immediately clear who is lawyer is.

Sullinger averaged six points and almost six rebounds per game in 45 games as a rookie last season.
