PORT CLINTON, Ohio (AP) — Troopers say a four-vehicle crash in northwest Ohio killed two people and injured eight, including four children.

The State Highway Patrol says a car turned left in front a minivan and was struck Monday evening on state Route 2 west of Port Clinton. The van then hit two stopped vehicles waiting to enter the road.

The driver and passenger in the turning car died. The patrol identified them as 78-year-old driver Jerald Zimmer and 74-year-old Rosanne Zimmer, both of Fremont.

The Toledo woman driving the minivan was flown to a hospital. The children in the van, ranging from 7 to 15 years old, were treated and released.

Another Toledo woman from the van and a Hilliard woman in a stopped vehicle suffered incapacitating injuries. A Hilliard man suffered minor injuries.
